Happy Memorial Day from Arlington National Cemetery, where one has come to honor those who have given their lives to protect our freedom and defeat the evils of authoritarianism, fascism, and tyranny.
Regardless of one's politics, we all owe America's fighting soldiers for securing our freedom and ensuring we can create a more perfect civilization through the mechanisms available through peace and the other supreme virtues.
God bless America. God bless our armed forces. And God bless our system of politics, which secures the benefit our fallen soldiers paid with their lives to secure. Peace be with you.
War is a way of the world. We are commanded to forsake the world's ways, and while in it, we have a duty to cope with it. The way of God is greater than mankind's weaknesses, the world we create, and the world that is imposed upon us by our enemy. Keep faith eternal, and love peace above all else. Such is the vision that enables our greatness.
Remembering an America before America was murdered by a renegade faction of a 10,000-year-old secret society:
"Now the trumpet summons us again — not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need — not as a call to battle, though embattled we are — but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, 'rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation' — a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself."
— President John Fitzgerald Kennedy
