"We cannot wait."
— Rep. Al Green

Righteousness is a program, and something we work every day. It is the embrace and the actions we take in respect of continual improvement. It is the practices and procedures we implement to keep what we have accomplished — weed the garden, so to enable us. It rejects the idea of "living with it." It is active.

In righteousness, we don't wait for a catastrophe. We employ foresight to stay all possible threats. And we create opportunities.

"I prefer to act first."

A common human response to threats is to fail to act in the false faith and belief it will work itself out and the worst case is not possible. Another human weakness is to conform and capitulate when the threat becomes real. These actions are characteristic of the antithesis of righteousness: cowardice.

I prefer to act first.
